CCPA Compliance

Our commitment to California consumer privacy rights under the CCPA and CPRA

Our CCPA Commitment

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives California residents rights over the personal information businesses collect about them. Mailneo supports those rights for our own users and provides the tooling our customers need to honor the same rights for their subscribers.

Who the CCPA Applies To

The CCPA applies to for-profit businesses that do business in California and meet at least one of the following thresholds:

  • Annual gross revenue over $25 million
  • Buy, sell, or share the personal information of 100,000 or more California consumers or households each year
  • Derive 50% or more of annual revenue from selling or sharing California consumers' personal information

Your Rights Under the CCPA and CPRA

Right to Know

You can request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the third parties we share it with.

Right to Delete

You can request deletion of the personal information we have collected from you, subject to limited exceptions such as completing a transaction or complying with a legal obligation.

Right to Correct

If we hold inaccurate personal information about you, you can request that we correct it.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

You can direct us not to sell or share your personal information. Mailneo does not sell personal information in the traditional sense, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out request.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

You can direct us to limit our use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to perform the services you requested.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide you a different level of quality because you exercised your CCPA rights.

How to Exercise Your Rights

California residents can submit a verifiable consumer request by emailing privacy@mailneo.co. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary. To verify your identity we may ask you to confirm details associated with your account. You may also designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf with written permission.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

  • Identifiers: name, email address, account credentials
  • Commercial information: subscription plan, billing history, transaction records
  • Internet activity: log data, device and browser information, referring URLs
  • Geolocation: approximate location derived from IP address
  • Inferences: usage patterns and preferences derived from product telemetry

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Mailneo does not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose personal information to service providers (payment processors, infrastructure providers, analytics tools) who are bound by contract to use the information only on our behalf and only for the purposes we specify.

Tools for Mailneo Customers

If you use Mailneo to email California consumers, you remain the business under the CCPA and we act as your service provider. We give you the tools to honor consumer requests for your subscribers:

  • Per-subscriber data export in CSV and JSON formats
  • Permanent deletion of subscriber records on request
  • Global suppression that prevents re-import after opt-out
  • Audit logs that record each consent and deletion event
  • Data Processing Addendum available on request

Notice at Collection

We provide notice at or before the point of collection of the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which it will be used. Our Privacy Policy contains the full notice; this page summarizes the rights specific to California residents.
